Di Jersey Get Yagba: Five Fashion Brands Banking on Sierra Leone Pride And Football Frenzy
It is green-white-and-blue season and going into Sierra Leoene’s last group game I have only one regret—I have exhausted my green, white, and blue flag colour T-Shirts and jerseys. The worst part is that I had ample time and opportunity and access to have gotten enough Salone branded T-Shirts but I had no idea that not having a green white and blue fit while watching Sierra Leone play in 2021 AFCON would feel so lame. It is game day and I’m in a frenzy. I might have to really dig under my old T-shirt pile and pray that there is some jersey there that I overlooked.
Also, I am not ashamed to say that I was at some point mentally teasing the T-Shirt Entrepreneurs. I saw so many different jerseys and I wondered how they would fare given the saturation of jerseys and Tees in the lead up to AFCON. I was a bloody fool. Of course, everyone needs a minimum of three jerseys for this group stage and then a fourth one for when we make it to the final. I mean how could have been so slow—must have been that time EDSA took the light and I bumped my head.
