"Unveiling the Powerhouse Lineup: Meet the Brilliant Business Minds Behind the Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference!"

We are thrilled to introduce you to the fantastic individuals on the Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference planning committee. These individuals are true trailblazers in their respective fields, and their dedication to the development and growth of Sierra Leone is truly inspiring.

First, we have Aminata Dumbuya-Jarr, our Co-Chair. Aminata is a social entrepreneur passionate about accelerating energy access through waste transformation. As the CEO of Freetown Waste Transformers, she is making a significant impact in the country by providing sustainable solutions to waste management. Additionally, Aminata is the CEO and founder of Business Services International (BSI), which has provided shared workspaces and virtual office services in Freetown for over a decade. Her commitment to national development is evident in her work, and we are grateful to have her leading our conference.

Next, we have Aminata Kamara, our other Co-Chair. Aminata is a C-suite executive in the mining sector and has been instrumental in supporting direct investments in Sierra Leone. With her expertise in HR and corporate affairs, she has played a vital role in the growth and success of various mining companies. Aminata is also the Vice President of Corporate Affairs and an Executive Board Member at Marampa Mines Limited. Her leadership and dedication to Sierra Leone's mining industry are truly remarkable.

This summit is happening because of Dr. Fouad Sheriff, our Speaker and Co-Chair. His passion for entrepreneurship and investment in Sierra Leone led him to convene a virtual meeting of diaspora entrepreneurs earlier this year. As the MD/CEO of Cotton Tree Medical Group, Dr. Sheriff has made significant contributions to the healthcare sector in Sierra Leone. From medical missions to establishing multiple pharmacies and now the construction of a hospital, his commitment to improving healthcare is commendable.

We are also proud to have Edleen Elba, our Speaker, and Co-Chair, on our planning committee. Edleen is a chartered global management accountant and the founder and lead of Elba and JobSearch. With her expertise in compliance, people, and trade facilitation, she has strongly advocated SME development in Sierra Leone. Edleen played a crucial role in the success of the National Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship Fair (NYEEF) under the Office of the Vice President. Her dedication to empowering the youth and fostering entrepreneurship is truly remarkable.

Haja Myers, our Speaker, and Co-Chair, is a serial entrepreneur and agribusiness consultant. She has actively supported the government's and INGOs' efforts to improve the agribusiness sector in Sierra Leone. As the founder of Estu Delight, a premium organic food and beverage brand, Haja promotes health and wellness while creating market access for farmers. Her commitment to sustainable and competitive business practices is truly inspiring.

Hamid Gbawuru Marah, our Host, and Co-Chair, is a business thought leader and development management practitioner. He has supported startups and SMEs through various initiatives for youth employment and women's economic empowerment. With his expertise in market systems, value chain, and private sector development, Hamid significantly impacts West Africa's business ecosystem.

Last but certainly not least, we have Vickie Remoe, our Curator, Convener, and Co-Chair. Vickie is a true powerhouse in the digital media and strategic communications field. As the Digital Media and Strategic Communications Director at VR&C Marketing Company, she has been essential in promoting Sierra Leone's image and potential. Vickie is also the host and producer of the Vickie Remoe Show and the founder and producer of the Make Sierra Leone Famous Podcast. Her dedication to showcasing Sierra Leone's talent and achievements is genuinely commendable.

We are incredibly fortunate to have such a talented and passionate group of individuals on our planning committee. The Sierra Leone Diaspora Investment Conference is a one-day conference that fosters collaboration between entrepreneurs and investors interested in Sierra Leone. The summit will occur on October 7th at the Metro Points Hotel in New Carrollton, Maryland.

Under the theme "Harnessing Sierra Leone Diaspora Entrepreneurship, Impact, and Direct Investment," the summit aims to amplify the impact of Sierra Leonean entrepreneurs both at home and in the diaspora.
